1. Introduction
This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Searchlize service website. We use essential cookies needed for the Service to operate; other, non-essential cookies (analytics) are used only after you give consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time, and declining is as easy as accepting.

2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your device (computer, phone) and read on subsequent requests — e.g., to maintain a login session or remember settings. We also use related browser storage (e.g., localStorage) for similar purposes.
3. Legal basis and consent
Storing and accessing information on your device is governed by the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, in force since 10 November 2024) and Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy). Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you request (e.g., authentication, security) do not require consent. All other cookies require your prior, freely given, specific and informed consent, expressed by a clear affirmative action; consent to analytics meets the standard of consent under the GDPR.

5. Analytics cookies (optional, with consent)
After you consent via the cookie banner, we enable PostHog (hosted in the European Union) for product analytics and browser-side error reporting. Without consent, these scripts are not loaded, and withdrawing consent stops them. Session recording is disabled and would require separate activation and consent. We do not use remarketing or advertising pixels (e.g., Meta Pixel).

Server-side analytics (no cookies). Regardless of your banner choice, we collect pseudonymous product events on the server (e.g., starting a search, completing onboarding, payment events) linked to your account identifier — on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in improving, billing for, and securing the Service. This processing uses no cookies or browser storage. You may object by emailing contact@searchlize.com; you can also change your analytics choice in the app under Settings → Legal.
Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies). To count overall visits and page views we use Vercel Web Analytics in a cookieless way — without cross-site tracking and without building personal profiles. It does not require cookie consent.
6. Tracking of outreach emails
Separately from website cookies, if you enable open/click tracking for the outreach messages you send, those messages may contain tracking pixels and redirect links that record when a recipient opens or clicks and the recipient's IP address and user-agent. This is described in the Privacy Policy; you act as controller for that tracking.
7. Browser settings and withdrawing consent
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via the cookie banner or in the app under Settings → Legal, and manage cookies in your browser settings (block, delete). Disabling essential cookies may prevent or hinder login and use of the Service dashboard.
8. Changes to the Cookie Policy
We reserve the right to amend this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the document page.
